The Social Services Department of the City of Stockholm has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and disability services. Here we create good conditions for meeting residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equitable, and knowledge-based social service with a strong focus on development. The department offers a wide range of support measures to the city's residents, and the range changes based on Stockholmers' needs and district administrations' requests. Work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business sector. The Social Services Department is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco permits and performs supervision. Welcome to us We are ten employees in the assessment and placement team, which is part of the expertise area for disability services and social psychiatry at the Social Services Department. Our roles include investigator, administrator, team leader, and unit manager. We have different educational backgrounds and experiences that give us broad expertise in the field. We work to determine compensation levels and match appropriate housing for people receiving support under the LSS and SoL legislation. Your role As an investigator, your main duties include Assessing compensation levels for services such as residential care for children and adults, short-term stays, short-term supervision, and day activities under the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) for all district administrations in the city Working with authority matters under LSS for people placed outside Stockholm Answering questions from managers and case handlers at district administrations Placing vacant housing for LSS groups 1 and 2 and placing residences within social psychiatry Actively participating in the unit's development initiatives. You assess the services both through digital meetings and by visiting the activities. In some cases, you will travel outside the Stockholm area depending on where the district boards purchase services. Your competence and experience We're looking for someone who has A degree as a social worker or bachelor's degree in a social science field Worked as a case handler within LSS or social psychiatry, or alternatively worked as a manager or coordinator at an LSS activity Broad experience and knowledge of the target groups disability and social psychiatry Ability to express yourself easily verbally and in writing in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have Worked in Excel with formulas and calculations Worked at a service provider activity within disability or social psychiatry Worked with the Paraplyet system in the City of Stockholm. To thrive in this role, you need to be good at collaborating with others and adapting your communication so that others can understand. You are service-oriented and act professionally, as the role involves many contacts both within and outside your own organization. To manage the role, you need to be persistent and able to structure your work efficiently.
