We are now seeking an analytical, driven, and structured person who will develop and implement the unit's work on preparedness issues regarding medication use in animals.
Our Operations
The Unit for Veterinary Medicines in Use (ViA) is responsible for medication safety work, medication availability, knowledge support, and preparedness issues related to medication use in animals. The unit is divided into two groups and collaboration takes place both within and between the unit's groups as well as with several other units at the Medical Products Agency. The unit has approximately 15 employees with broad combined expertise in both veterinary medicine and regulatory work. Several development projects are underway within the unit's areas of responsibility.
Your Tasks
As the primary responsible person for preparedness issues regarding medication use in animals, you will lead the work from the initial phase to established routines. This means you will have the opportunity to shape how we approach preparedness, build important relationships both within and outside the agency, and concretely contribute to work on supply preparedness for animal medications.
Your main tasks will be to:
Create and maintain cooperation with preparedness authorities within animal health and food.
Identify needs and propose measures through inventories with target groups.
Develop the Medical Products Agency's role in preparedness issues concerning medication use in animals.
Represent the Medical Products Agency in cooperation forums at other authorities and industry organizations.
Since work on preparedness issues is being developed, you need to be comfortable working in a changing environment where you can influence direction and content.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with relevant university education, or alternatively several years of experience working within the preparedness field that is deemed equivalent. You have documented experience with both strategic and operational preparedness work within public operations, and you are accustomed to independently driving issues and projects.
It is highly meritorious if you are a veterinarian or agricultural technician specializing in livestock, or alternatively have good knowledge of medication supply. It is also meritorious if you have worked with supply preparedness and continuity management. Particularly meritorious is experience working at a preparedness authority.
You demonstrate good ability to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

You are forward-thinking, ambitious, and have a genuine interest in contributing to development. You like to take initiative and propose pragmatic and efficient improvements in your area, combined with a structured approach. Since you will be working with complex issues, you need to have a strategic perspective with the ability to see the big picture, analyze complex situations, and propose and make well-founded decisions. You also have the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. You enjoy collaborating with different expertise both internally and externally and have a talent for explaining and anchoring both in writing and orally.
