About the Operations Op/An/ICU Falun - The Operating Room, Anesthesia, and ICU clinic in Falun has two operating departments: Central Operations with twelve operating rooms, including one robotic surgery room and one hybrid room. Day Surgery Falun has five operating rooms. Both Central Operations and Day Surgery have their own recovery units. The operating rooms are distributed among the region's surgical clinics for both acute and elective procedures. Op/An/ICU Mora - At Mora Hospital there are two operating departments: Central Operations with five operating rooms, and Day Surgery with two operating rooms. Job Responsibilities Do you want to work as a specialist nurse in surgical care? Then apply for this position with us! Working as an operating room nurse involves an exciting combination of perioperative care and high-tech environments. You will be at the center of events as an important member of the surgical team where different professions work together for the patient's benefit. You lead the team's work regarding asepsis, hygiene, and infection prevention. It is essential to be flexible in both thought and action and thereby make quick decisions. A calm operation can quickly turn into an acute situation. Are you the person we are looking for and ready to take on the challenge of assuming the role of operating room nurse in one of our surgical teams in the future? You will need to apply to university yourself, and upon admission, you will receive a permanent employment contract as a nurse at the Op/An/ICU clinic in Falun or the Op/An/ICU clinic in Mora. After completing the specialist education as an operating room nurse, you will be placed, based on the units' needs, in one of the operating departments at the respective hospital. During the summer break between terms, you will work as a nurse within the respective unit's own or nearby operations and receive summer vacation. Remember! You are confident in your professional role and have several years of professional experience as a nurse. Experience from somatic inpatient care and perioperative care is advantageous. As a person, you should be flexible and stable with good ability to handle stress. We value commitment and meticulousness. As an operating room nurse, you must be prepared for situations around the patient to change quickly. Since we work extensively in teams, good collaboration skills with all professional categories around the patient are crucial. We work patient-centered with a focus on providing good care, a positive experience, and respectful treatment in the patient's contact with us. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and previous references.
