About the Operations Op/An/ICU Falun - The Operation Anesthesia ICU clinic in Falun has two operating departments: Central Operations with twelve operating rooms, including one robotic operating room and one hybrid operating room. As an anesthesia nurse, we also provide anesthesia for ENT operations that have their own operating rooms. Day Surgery Falun has five operating rooms. Both Central Operations and Day Surgery have their own recovery units. The operating rooms are distributed among the region's operating clinics for both emergency and elective care. Work as an anesthesia nurse involves an exciting combination of perioperative nursing and high technology. You are at the center of events as an important member of the operating team where different professions work together for the patient's best. As an anesthesia nurse, you have independent responsibility for anesthesiological nursing, which means that in close collaboration with and on the orders of an anesthesiologist, you: plan and perform general anesthetics supervise regional and local anesthetics sedate patients during examinations and treatments supervise and care for patients in the postoperative period In your work as an anesthesia nurse, depending on your placement, you may be part of the emergency response chain for acute events at the hospital and accompany patient transports where a higher level of care is required. You need to apply to university yourself, and after admission, you will receive a permanent employment contract as a registered nurse at the Op/An/ICU clinic in Falun or the Op/An/ICU clinic in Mora. After completing the specialist education as an anesthesia nurse, you will be placed, according to the needs of the operations, at one of the operating departments at the respective hospital. During the summer break between terms, you work as a registered nurse within the unit's own or nearby operations and receive summer vacation. Remember! You are confident in your professional role and have several years of professional experience as a registered nurse. Experience from somatic inpatient care and perioperative care is meriting. As a person, you should be flexible and stable with a good ability to handle stress. We value commitment and thoroughness. As an anesthesia nurse, you stay one step ahead and are prepared for the situation around the patient to change quickly. Since we work a lot in teams, it is of great importance to have good collaboration skills with all professional categories around the patient. We work person-centered with a focus on the patient receiving good care, a good experience, and good treatment in their contact with us.
