To carry out our mission in art, culture, nature, and cultural heritage, our core operations are divided into two departments: Art and Culture, and Nature and Cultural Heritage, with each department organized into multiple units. The Nature and Cultural Heritage department operates six museums and visitor destinations. To coordinate cross-cutting issues across the entire administration, we work in a matrix structure, including our work with municipalities, children and youth, collective administration, and Agenda 2030.
Description
The Culture Administration VGR has been awarded ESF funding for digital competence development within the museum and library sector in Western Sweden. The project runs for two years and consists of five competence development modules totaling 116 hours. The modules are designed to meet employees' individual competence development needs and cover areas including basic digital competence, leadership and change management, digital pedagogy, digital communication, and open and linked data. Approximately 670 people are participating in the project. Participants have different professional roles, backgrounds, and needs and therefore participate only in relevant modules.
The project starts in autumn 2026. Initially, the project, learning modules, and communication will be planned. Subsequently, the competence-building initiatives will begin.
We are now seeking three educators (50%) to be responsible for planning and implementation of training initiatives in digital competence development. You will be part of a team strengthening the competence of employees and managers within the museum and library sector.
Responsibilities
As an educator, you will be responsible together with other educators and the project manager for training within the project's five learning modules. The training initiatives include digital and in-person components, such as lectures, workshops, learning groups, and training materials.
Your role includes, among other things:
planning, implementing, and following up on training initiatives within the project
contributing to the development of training approaches and content
adapting training for different target groups
contributing to the achievement of the project's goals
collaborating with other educators, the project manager, and an administrative coordinator
fostering inclusive and professional learning
The position is based in Gothenburg. Travel within the region may be required. We are seeking educators with experience in one or more of the project's focus areas:
leadership and change management
digital pedagogy
digital communication
open and linked data and AI search functions
basic digital competence
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in pedagogy, learning, behavioral science, communication, systems science, information science, or another relevant field. Other education or experience deemed equivalent may also be relevant.
For this position, you must have:
experience planning and implementing training initiatives for adults
competence in one or more of the project's five focus areas
strong pedagogical ability and experience adapting content
very good digital proficiency and solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other digital tools
very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
good collaboration skills and a structured work approach
It is advantageous if you have experience with:
work-integrated learning or competence development
large projects, particularly within the ESF framework
work in public sector or politically governed organizations
developing training materials for in-person and digital training
Personal Competencies
You have a strong interest in learning and development. You are pedagogical, clear, and confident as an educator. You build relationships and contribute to an open and professional work environment. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility, and adapt when circumstances change.
