Ward 65 is the clinic's urological care ward with 12 beds. We have both an elective and acute patient flow to the ward, where elective patients undergo surgical procedures for cancer of the urinary tract, bladder, prostate, or kidney. We also receive acute patients daily who may have suffered from kidney stone attacks, urosepsis, hematuria, and other urinary tract symptoms. We also care for acute patients with surgical conditions. Job Description In your role as a nurse on the ward, you plan, lead, and perform specific urological and sometimes surgical nursing work. You work continuously with patient observations, are responsible for pre- and postoperative care, pain management, palliative care, and ensure that the patient is optimized before surgery. Your duties also include making independent assessments and leading the nursing team. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience and education in urology and/or surgical care are advantageous. About the Operation The Surgery and Urology operational area conducts both acute and elective surgery and urology as well as operating activities in outpatient and inpatient care around the clock. We treat and care for patients primarily from Stockholm County, but also from outside the region and international patients with surgical or urological diseases. Patients are cared for at several different specialist clinics, two operating departments, and four care wards with different specialty areas: colorectal surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, bariatric surgery and liver tumors, and urology.
