Then you might be the health developer we're looking for, tasked with outreach work in wellness and physical activity. According to the sports program, which is one of the Sports and Community Services Department's governing documents, the department's efforts should support groups that are socioeconomically disadvantaged and enable more activities. In your role as a health developer, you will work in an outreach capacity across different areas and meeting places in the city using a mobile work approach. You will meet with individuals and conduct activities that encourage physical activity, safety, and community. Examples of typical work tasks: Operational responsibility for outreach work in city districts. Collaborate with sports clubs, schools, departments, and other actors to strengthen the city's public health efforts. Map needs and monitor the external environment to identify needs and prioritize activities in city districts. Document and evaluate activities and compile statistics. Participate in planning and conducting school holiday activities and events. Plan and lead group training sessions and spontaneous activities on and off facilities. Staff activity areas and outdoor gyms and guide visitors to activities and community life. Conduct outreach work – meet target groups in their local environment, offer activities in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas, and inform about our services. Create and publish content on social media and develop marketing materials. You will primarily be responsible for outreach work at one of the department's wellness units - Wellness Northeast, Wellness Center/West, and Wellness Hisingen, but activities may be planned city-wide. You will work independently to drive, coordinate, and follow up on activities and efforts in your assigned city district. Working hours vary between daytime, evening, and weekends. Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education such as health pedagogy, public health, health promotion, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working as a gym and group training instructor. You have experience coordinating and driving activities with different work groups and operations. You have experience meeting people with different backgrounds and circumstances. A B-class driver's license and good computer skills. As a health developer, you take initiative, start activities, and have strong commitment to your work. You take responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks, and you plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient manner.
