About the Role
As a Procurement Manager, you're responsible for driving and leading the procurement process in hydropower projects from early planning phase to completed contract. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, technical specialists, and sustainability managers to ensure cost-effective and sustainable deliveries in line with Statkraft's goals.
You represent the procurement function in the project and are a key person in ensuring that procurements are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, Statkraft's procurement policy, internal procedures, and ethical requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead the entire procurement process – from strategic planning, tender evaluation, negotiation, and contract writing to follow-up during project execution and handover to the end user.
Ensure that procurements meet Statkraft's requirements for sustainability, safety, quality, and economics.
Contribute to project risk analyses and procurement strategies.
Collaborate with technical disciplines (construction, mechanical, electrical, and controls) to integrate commercial and technical requirements.
Prepare and administer contracts in accordance with AB 04, ABT 06, ABK 09, or equivalent standard agreements.
Act as Contract Manager in project meetings, construction meetings, and monitoring of contractor performance.
Actively contribute to experience feedback and improvement work within the Procurement team.
Support O&M / Asset Operations with procurement activities, including both operational and strategic purchases.
Drive sourcing activities in collaboration with operations and Category/Sourcing Manager.
Project Types
Projects include various types of contracts within hydropower, including construction, mechanical, electrical, and control installations. The role therefore requires a good understanding of different contract forms and their commercial and technical conditions.
Position Requirements
We're looking for someone with the right mindset and competence, including experience working in complex project environments, preferably within hydropower or similar contracts:
Competency Requirements
Relevant technical or economic education, preferably civil or graduate engineer.
At least 5 years of experience in procurement or project purchasing within infrastructure, energy, or construction/civil engineering.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience working with AB 04, ABT 06, and ABK 09.
Ability to manage multiple procurements in parallel, with focus on structure, accuracy, and business-mindedness.
Understanding of sustainable procurement and supplier follow-up from environmental, social, and ethical perspectives.
Good communication skills and experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
Personal Qualities
Analytical and structured with a solution-oriented approach.
Strong negotiation skills and business-minded thinking.
Ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
Engaged, responsible, and with an interest in sustainability issues.
