Our work team currently consists of a unit manager, three work leaders, twelve procurement officers, a purchasing controller, an IT contract controller, an e-commerce manager, a sustainability developer, a product coordinator, five purchasing coordinators, a purchaser, and a purchasing developer. The Procurement Unit is part of the Service Administration. Our goal is to contribute to the greatest possible benefit for Eskilstuna Municipality's residents by helping and guiding the municipality's operations to make smart, cost-effective, and sustainable purchases of products and services. We work with strategy development (including category management), procurement, follow-up, development, and sustainability throughout the procurement process. We are also responsible for the municipality's e-commerce. Our offices are located in central Eskilstuna with proximity to the train station and good commuting options. You have the opportunity to work remotely a few days per week and have great flexibility to plan your time independently. WORK TASKS As a procurement officer, you lead and are responsible for independently driving your procurement projects from start to finish. Your role focuses on procurements of goods and services. In this position, you work on procurements that contribute to operational benefit and create value from multiple perspectives, including promoting sustainability, strengthening preparedness, and combating labor crimes. Many of your tasks are of a legal nature. This can involve confidentiality assessments, contracts, and interpreting laws and legal practice. The work takes place in close collaboration with, for example, clients, reference groups, lawyers, and sustainability developers. Together with your colleagues, you also work on continuously improving procurement and purchasing processes. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant higher education or other post-secondary education that we consider equivalent, preferably in law. You express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing, which enables you to communicate professionally with both suppliers and operations. It is meritorious if you have experience with: · public procurement · purchasing from the private sector · work in a politically managed organization. Knowledge of and interest in AI is meritorious, especially if you have an understanding of how AI can be used to develop, streamline, and ensure quality in procurement work. To fit and thrive in this role, you are self-driven, engaged, and motivated to achieve good results. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive your processes forward in a structured manner. You are receptive and have a knack for building trust, developing long-term relationships, and collaborating with various functions within the municipality. Even when the pace is high and demands are many, you maintain your composure and a solution-focused approach. Your work is characterized by business acumen and a focus on maintaining good customer contact. You have the ability to manage assignments efficiently and are clear in your collaboration with other parties in the various assignments. You are independent and have good patience even when processes drag on. You are good at driving and taking your own initiatives in your work and have the ability to think innovatively and be creative. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment.
