Annually, Falkenberg Municipality procures goods, services, and contracts for millions. Efficient, business-like, and strategic procurement and purchasing work is therefore an important tool for fulfilling the municipality's goals and contributing to sustainable development. We are currently a department consisting of 15 people. In addition to five other procurement specialists, a procurement operations manager, and a head of purchasing and procurement, we also have an e-commerce operations manager, an e-commerce coordinator, an e-commerce administrator, a purchasing analyst, a contract controller, a buyer specializing in direct procurement, and two sustainability development managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of procurement specialist involves stimulating, developmental, and enjoyable work where you will be offered challenging and engaging tasks with the opportunity to make a big difference and develop yourself and our operations in the field of purchasing and procurement with a focus on business-like practices. The role includes actively working and coming up with development and improvement suggestions on how we can develop our processes related to purchasing and procurement.
As a procurement specialist, you work as an independent project manager and assist our administrations and companies in procurements throughout the entire process, from needs and market analysis, procurement strategy, and procurement work. Coordinating procurements with other municipalities in the region is also part of the procurement specialist assignment. Active and continuous contract follow-up as well as advisory services in procurement and contract matters to the municipality group's various operations are also included in the role.
Dialogue with our administrations, companies, and suppliers is the foundation and is an important part of your daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is ready to develop our purchasing and procurement work. We therefore see that you are a person who has good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act and actively explores new perspectives within the framework of procurement rules. Of course, you have conducted your own procurements of various complexity and nature. Experience from a municipality and/or municipal companies is a merit. We also see that you have education at university or college level within procurement, IT, law, or other education that the employer considers comparable. Project management experience and good process understanding are also abilities we appreciate.
This position involves a large portion of IT procurement—both systems, hardware, and services—and we therefore appreciate it if you have experience in procurement within this area. Qualified procurement work in other areas also occurs.
Your previous experience in the field means you can quickly get into the work, and it is important that you are self-directed and have a structured way of working to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently. As the work tasks place high demands on quality, constructive problem-solving, and business-like practices, it is a prerequisite that you are thorough and have good analytical ability. You are unpretentious, driven, and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships.
You have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Swedish, but preferably also in English. You can explain what you want to convey from different perspectives and for different target groups. You are comfortable participating in and leading various forums with both internal and external stakeholders. Through dialogue, inclusion, and creativity, you inspire and motivate others.
