The Police Authority's IT Department has approximately 1,300 employees and is responsible for all IT used by the agency's approximately 40,500 employees. The IT Department develops and modernizes the Police's IT systems, and the agency is heavily investing in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in police operations. The Delivery Coordination group brings together experienced IT architects and IT mission managers. Our mission is to support the IT Department in large, complex assignments and advanced technology and architecture matters. The area is growing as the external environment shifts within IT, and our large complex IT environment now requires strengthening the group with several senior mission/project managers! Your main responsibility in the group will be to lead, plan, and coordinate major IT assignments, often in collaboration with the group's own IT architects as well as with product owners and mission managers in other groups. The focus is on assignments spanning multiple groups and sections, where assignments require coordination across organizational boundaries. The group belongs to the Operations and Infrastructure unit, and most of the assignments are within this organizational domain. As a mission manager, you will need significant responsibility for driving the work forward and both the ability and willingness to find solutions in complex assignments. During a typical work week, you may encounter: - Conducting and participating in workshops and collaboration groups with various stakeholders/target groups - Documentation, presentations, and discussing progress and challenges in your assignments - Participation in various collaboration groups and working groups - Work with business and process development Qualifications This is an opportunity for you who have: - Post-secondary education relevant to the function or other relevant education combined with work experience that the employer considers equivalent - At least 5 years of relevant work experience (recently) in a complex IT environment and in a role relevant to the position, such as IT project manager, IT mission manager, IT project coordinator, or similar - Very strong professional experience and competence in leading complex technical projects/assignments with many stakeholders and requirement setters involved - You must have excellent command of Swedish in speech and writing, and good command of English in speech and writing - Employment requires Swedish citizenship. The following are merits: - Good technical understanding of IT infrastructure and software development; for example, you may have previously worked as a solutions architect/IT architect or as an IT infrastructure specialist/systems developer - Work experience from an organization with broad technical scope and high requirements regarding IT environment security - Work experience from activities strongly governed by regulations and legislation, for example, within government/public operations, or larger companies/organizations - Experience with agile work or other work models where iterative development and continuous feedback are central - Experience in structuring information about IT projects/assignments and being able to document and report project status both in writing and verbally Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is self-driven and has the ability to independently structure and drive your assignments forward.
