The Department of Information Technology holds a leading position in both research and education at all levels. We are currently Uppsala University's third largest department with just over 350 employees, including 120 faculty members and 120 doctoral students. We are now seeking students who want to work as teaching assistants in Period 2. Duties Participation in teaching in the course listed below. Participation in teaching includes, for example, attending laboratories and lectures, grading assignments, answering student questions, and supervising student projects. Period 2: 1DT118 Cybersecurity Analysis (ENG) If you have not been a teaching assistant before, your duties will also include a mandatory orientation day. Qualifications Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5. Only those admitted to education at the basic level or advanced level may be employed as a teaching assistant (HF Chapter 5 §10). The applicant must demonstrate good academic results, particularly in the subject area of the course you will be assisting with, and very good English language skills in both speaking and writing. Desirable/Meritorious Experience Previous experience participating in teaching in relevant university-level courses is particularly meritorious. Experience with relevant IT systems (Studium) is desirable, as is good knowledge of Uppsala University's organization. The application should also include which course you are interested in and an estimate of the number of hours you wish to work (per course and period, with the total hours summing to 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120).
