Your responsibilities
The work includes course design and course responsibility. Teaching takes place in Swedish and English.
Research-wise, the department conducts research in both logistics and quality development. Sustainable development is a guiding principle in the department's research. Customers are a traditional focus within quality development, which has recently expanded to a broader stakeholder perspective that also includes social benefit. The main focus of the subject area is research on principles, methods and tools to improve existing products and services, to develop new innovative products and services, and to improve business processes with the aim of satisfying the needs and expectations of customers, employees, owners and other stakeholders. The department also has a growing focus on the importance of leadership for improvement work and innovation, with particular emphasis on how organizations develop the ability to translate ideas into practical change and long-term value creation. This includes studies of how leadership, governance and organization can support continuous development in complex operations. In terms of research, written communication takes place primarily in English, but also in Swedish.
You are active within the research community, participate in departmental activities such as seminars and workshops, participate in research projects, communicate results through academic publications and contribute to attracting external research funding.
You actively contribute to the university's development work. Collaboration is an integrated part of the university's research and education mission. Collaboration in education takes place through planning, organizing and implementing good collaboration in educational contexts. Collaboration in research takes place through active interaction with external companies and public organizations and through disseminating, making accessible and utilizing research.
The employment may also involve administrative tasks, such as for example coordinator for thesis work issues or various departmental or faculty assignments. We would also like to see you participate in and show interest in management assignments.
In your work, you are to follow developments nationally and internationally in your subject area and the societal development otherwise that is relevant to your work.
You are flexible and have the ability to move between different types of pedagogical and scientific contexts. You share knowledge and contribute to the work group's professional development, collegial working methods and social community. We regard it as natural that you are present and active in order to perform your tasks in the best way and thrive in the work community.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence, and has demonstrated pedagogical skills, or other professional skills that are of importance given the subject matter and tasks of the employment.
For this employment, particular weight will be placed on pedagogical skills.
