The Department of Commercial Law is now seeking a limited-term position, temporary appointment under section 5, paragraph 2 (maximum 12 months) as a University Lecturer in Commercial Law, with a focus on tax law; particularly direct taxation, international and EU tax law. Employment rate 100 percent. Job Description for the Current Position The work tasks will primarily involve teaching in direct taxation, particularly international and EU tax law as well as administration, mainly course administration. The work tasks also include following developments within your own subject area and societal developments in general that are relevant to work at the School of Economics. Higher education pedagogy further training may be offered after consultation with the Director of Studies and the Head of Department. Eligibility Eligible for employment as a University Lecturer is someone who has demonstrated pedagogical skill, holds a Doctor of Laws degree, and has other qualifications relevant to the subject area of the position and the work tasks included in the employment. Additional Requirements For the current position, the ability to teach in both Swedish and English is required, as well as completed higher education pedagogy training comprising at least five weeks and documented teaching merits. Assessment Criteria The degree of competency required for eligibility for University Lecturer employment shall serve as the assessment criterion. For employment as a University Lecturer, the following assessment criteria shall apply: Strong subject knowledge relevant to the position's content and work tasks. Strong pedagogical ability, meaning a strong ability to conduct and develop teaching and other pedagogical activities at various levels and with varying teaching methods. Good professional or other relevant experience. Experience with teaching at both basic and advanced levels as well as teaching in an international environment is particularly valuable. A strong ability to teach in both Swedish and English is required. A strong interest in pedagogical work and an ability to function in a pedagogical role is of great importance. The Department of Commercial Law is a small department that depends on good cooperation among staff members. Consideration will be given to good collaboration skills, commitment, and independence, as well as how the applicant through their experience and competence is assessed to complement and strengthen ongoing undergraduate education, research, and other activities at the Department and School of Economics. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. The applicant should be positive, trustworthy, organized, and independent as well as curious. The ability to collaborate and work in teaching teams will be considered. Weight will be given to the applicant's interest in participating in daily activities at the department. Terms 100% full-time for a maximum of 12 months. Start date October 1, 2026, or by agreement.
