JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Department of Work and Learning has approximately 200 employees and works from a holistic perspective where labor market, education, and integration issues meet and are addressed.
The department is responsible for Bergendahlska gården, which is a meeting place for young people aged 13-20 years. As a visitor to Bergendahlska gården, you can have coffee, socialize and play games in our café or in our garden, participate in various group activities and youth-driven activities, attend concerts and other cultural events, record music in our studio or rehearse with the band in our rehearsal spaces.
As a youth coordinator, you are part of a work team with the task of offering varied leisure activities during young people's free time. The daily work involves delivering excellent service and good customer care to both visitors, activity leaders, tenants, and others who visit Bergendahlska gården. The operations are run in close cooperation with the municipality's other meeting places.
Your responsibilities include:
• Offering, developing, and participating in activities and programs for the target group both independently and together with others in the work team.
• Mentoring our youth leaders in preparing, conducting, and evaluating activities for visitors in the program.
• Developing our operations and working to strengthen young people's opportunity to participate in varied activities during their free time in the program.
• Contributing to safety and well-being in and around Bergendahlska gården.
• Creating relationships and working in a supportive and norm-setting manner in daily interactions with young people.
• Planning and carrying out various events together with the work team, such as concerts, lectures, festivals, and other cultural events.
• Coordinating and cooperating with other meeting places and operations internally and externally.
Working hours are scheduled for daytime, evening, and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree from a behavioral science or social pedagogy program, leisure activities leadership training, or other relevant education. Interest and experience working with young people is a requirement. The assignment is to motivate and guide young people toward meaningful leisure time in social settings.
Previous experience working in any of the following areas is meritorious:
• Youth issues
• Cultural work
• Association work
• Integration
• Social sustainability
• Knowledge in music and events, such as music production, instruments, or sound and lighting
You are confident, flexible, stress-resistant, have social competence, and a pedagogical approach. You have good collaboration skills but can also work independently. It is important that you want to work on developing the operations in cooperation with other actors, such as non-profit associations and organizations.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Class B driving license required
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: Permanent position with start date as soon as possible by agreement. Interviews may take place continuously during the application period. A probationary period may be applied.
