We're looking for you to join us in developing the best possible care and support for people who need short-term care services. Vara Short-term consists of the short-term unit Ebba and Rondellen. Ebba's short-term care has 10 beds with a focus on people with dementia. Rondellen has 18 beds and is focused on somatic, rehabilitative, and palliative care. Your primary placement will be at Ebba Short-term, but you will be part of Vara Short-term where we work together, support one another, and help cover needs as they change. 2 of the positions are from staff members who have chosen to retire after long and faithful service, and the 3rd position is from a staff member who has chosen to pursue other work. Your Role You are passionate about working with people and have a genuine commitment to creating safety, quality, and good care. You will meet people with warmth, respect, and empathy, while creating a safe environment that promotes independence and participation. You are someone who contributes to residents having a meaningful life by planning and participating in activities that stimulate their physical and mental wellbeing. You have an interest in working with people who have cognitive impairment due to dementia. As a nursing assistant with us, you are an important part of the team and our shared work in creating a safe, person-centered, and well-functioning short-term care service. You work based on the resident's needs, wishes, and circumstances, and actively contribute to care and support of high quality. Individualized care and support with routines, personal care, and assistance with daily needs. You will work closely with licensed healthcare professionals and perform tasks under delegation. Documentation and reporting are important parts of the work to ensure that each resident receives the care they need. You will work in a team consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and case manager. To succeed in this role, you need to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing needs and situations. Your Knowledge and Experience You must be able to present proof of the protected professional title of nursing assistant (certificate from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare) or a service certificate from an ongoing employment as a nursing assistant. You also need to be able to present a valid passport/ID card. A driver's license can be presented together with a personal certificate obtained from skatteverket.se using Bank-ID; we can do this at a scheduled interview. Access to mobile Bank-ID for use, as it is required for verification in our activity systems.
