Ullerås is a care and housing facility located in a rural setting in Ullervad, six kilometers outside the town of Mariestad. The facility has five units with a total of 60 apartments. Meals served at Ullerås are prepared in our own kitchen, and we adjust meal times according to residents' needs. We are now seeking several nursing assistants for both permanent positions and temporary assignments. JOB DUTIES The role includes personal care, assistance with meals and transfers, delegated health and medical care tasks, and social interaction. We work as a team, and collaboration between the unit manager, assistant unit manager, nurse, care and rehabilitation staff is very important. Certain service tasks are also included, such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, and participating in activities with residents. You are responsible for continuously creating, documenting, and following up on care plans and other documentation. We work with contact person assignments and ombudsman roles where you as an employee have the opportunity to develop and be part of developing the facility. If you have a background as a specialist nursing assistant in areas such as dementia or palliative care, you will, from a holistic perspective, also be a reflective practitioner with a conscious and professional approach and knowledge within dementia or palliative care. You would then be a role model, educator, share knowledge, develop and spread approaches within your specialty area to the workplace. At Ullerås, we offer several activities per week together with our care staff and activity coordinators. Examples of activities include baking, chair exercises, guided walks, music puzzles, reading café, group music requests, walks, movies, pub with entertainment, puzzles, board games, and worship services. Entertainment approximately once per month. On day/evening shifts, you work according to a seven-week rotation schedule where you also work three out of seven weekends. QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for a position with us, you must be a trained nursing assistant and preferably have work experience in elderly care. If you also have an advanced qualification as a specialist nursing assistant, this is a merit. We are looking for someone who is attentive, positive, and confident in meeting with care recipients. You possess good care knowledge and are flexible since the work is based on close collaboration with your colleagues where you are expected to be able to step in and support as needed, even in other units. Since we work with many activities—both weekly and annual and theme-inspired—it is an advantage if you are a resourceful and creative person. You are expected to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. This is so you can receive and provide verbal and written information. The work also requires computer skills so you can document and access written documentation in the management systems used in daily operations. All to provide good and safe care.
