About the Job Would you like to work near the sea in a beautiful archipelago setting? We are now recruiting home care assistants for home services in the Southern Archipelago. There is also a decision in place through March 31, 2027 for a wage supplement of 2250kr for permanent staff in care and elderly services in the Southern Archipelago. The boat journey takes approximately 20 minutes from Saltholmen dock. Please check Västtrafik's journey planner to see how long your travel time is from your nearest stop. You must be at Saltholmen at 06:00 to catch the boat to Styrsö Skäret or Brännö Rödsten to work a morning shift. You will be an important support in people's daily lives and provide care and support services to individuals in their own homes. You will motivate and encourage older adults based on their individual circumstances, needs, and wishes. Services are provided based on care assessment and can range from personal care, support with meals, assistance with social activities, and certain health and medical tasks, as well as cooperation with family members. You will be part of many people's life situations, which can be both interesting and challenging. As a home care team member, you work independently but also together with others in the shared care work. Your work day begins and ends at our facilities on Styrsö or Brännö. All social documentation is done digitally. If you have not previously used the systems used by the City of Gothenburg, you will receive training. The people we serve need support during the day, evening, and weekends. Your working hours are therefore scheduled. About You Requirements: • We are looking for someone who is a certified home care assistant and can provide the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate for protected professional title, or alternatively demonstrate that you were permanently employed as a home care assistant when the new regulations were introduced. • Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written • Basic computer skills (IT knowledge) • You have cycling experience and can use an e-bike at work Meritorious but not required: • Further training focused on dementia or geriatric psychiatry Who We Are Looking For: • You take responsibility for both your own and shared work tasks, focusing on completing them correctly.
