Sabbatsbergsbyn is a specialized residential facility with 106 apartments distributed across 11 departments in three buildings. Nine departments provide housing for those with a diagnosed dementia disorder, and two departments serve those who need 24-hour care and support due to physical reasons. Sabbatsbergsbyn is a residential facility in Stockholm's inner city between S:t Eriksplan and Odenplan. It is a centrally located elderly care home in Vasastan with green areas surrounding it. In Sinnenas Trädgård we sometimes gather for grilling, exercise classes, entertainment, and coffee breaks. We are now seeking temporary nursing assistants.

Your Role
As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social services, and support to the elderly according to decisions made by social welfare administrators. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional abilities and assist with their social contacts. You will be responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offer opportunities for outdoor time. You will also maintain contact with relatives, participate in care planning and social documentation. You must also follow the routines and regulations established at the workplace. The position involves work as needed during day, evening, and night shifts.
Your Competence and Experience
You must have:
Protected professional title as a nursing assistant, or have started the process for obtaining one.
At least 1-3 years of experience working in elderly care
Good experience with documentation
Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form
It is advantageous to have:
Work experience with dementia care in elderly services.
We are looking for you to demonstrate professional conduct toward service users, relatives, and colleagues. Since you will have extensive contact with people, it is important that you have good collaboration skills. We seek someone who takes responsibility for their work and is thorough.
Other Information
To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes for Stockholm's City, you must show an extract from the police criminal records register. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue, and you can request it on the Police website.
