This position is located within the Care and Services Department, one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Services Department is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical services, administrative functions, procurement of services, and operates care and services in-house. Welcome to us! Your Work Tasks As a nursing assistant with us, you start the day together with your colleagues before heading to the home of the individual. We use the approach "The Individual's Needs at the Center" (IBIC) and are currently working on the project "Hands Behind the Back," which means work should be designed together with the individual where what is healthy is preserved. No two days are alike with us, and your help varies as we base our work on each individual's needs. You carry out your planned services, which include personal hygiene, household tasks, and medical interventions. The individual's care needs can vary greatly, from lighter assistance to more extensive care such as tube feeding, tracheostomy, and wound dressing changes. We have developed different "routes" to create continuity and promote relationship-building. This means that in your role as a nursing assistant, you are also a contact person for clients in "your" route. Your role as a contact person involves participating in welcome meetings where you together with the individual plan support services. You are responsible for care plans and documentation in the Treserva system. You participate regularly in our coordination meetings where home care nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists are present. Together you have ongoing dialogue about matters concerning your contact persons. The assisted living residence is close to the travel center, which makes it convenient if you use public transportation to get to work. Parking spaces are also available near the facility. You will be part of a team consisting of approximately 30 employees. We provide home care services both for residents of the assisted living facility and for individuals in the surrounding area. In the facility's premises, there is a meeting place that offers daily activities as well as lunch service. The home care nurses, coordinators, and two operations managers are also located here. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists visit once a week. We are an organization that likes to be at the forefront and continue developing. Your working hours are daytime, evenings, and every other weekend. About You We are looking for someone with an approved nursing assistant education and consider it a merit if you are trained as a specialist nursing assistant. For this position, we require experience working in support, care, and services, and experience in home care is a merit. It is a merit if you have experience working with cognitive disabilities such as neuropsychiatric conditions or dementia. Experience with palliative care, the IBIC approach, and low-affective interaction is also a merit. We would appreciate knowledge of a salutogenic perspective. Work in elderly care involves extensive client contact and documentation, which means we require that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is a merit if you have experience documenting in medical record systems. For this position, you need to be able to ride a bicycle. As a person, you are independent and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with other people and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have empathetic ability, which means you can understand others' perspectives and situations.
