Nursing Assistants for NHV Self-Harm Adults at Danderyds Hospital We continue to grow and are therefore seeking more experienced nursing assistants. We are looking for you who wants to be part of an operation that makes a difference for patients with difficult-to-treat self-harm behavior and who wants to work on a treatment unit with a strong focus on development, knowledge, evidence and quality. If you are a trained nursing assistant with experience working in psychiatry and who is passionate about patient care, then we hope you will apply for this position. The treatment unit NHV Self-Harm Adults, which consists of day care and 24-hour care, has the mission to provide nationally highly specialized care for patients with difficult-to-treat self-harm behavior. The unit is the first of its kind in the Stockholm region and there is active collaboration with other licensed units in Sweden. The unit has a national mandate, which means that patients come from all over Sweden via referral. All admissions are planned. Patients are admitted to ward 131, which is a general psychiatric unit and offers treatment and care for patients between 18-65 years old who primarily suffer from depression, anxiety, personality disorders, suicidal issues, self-harm behavior, eating disorders and crisis reactions. The ward has a total of 18 care beds, including one bed for self-selected admission and up to 6 beds within the framework of nationally highly specialized care (NHV) for difficult-to-treat self-harm behavior. On the unit, patients are offered individually tailored treatment where the entire care process is based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). All staff are offered training for the assignment and continuous competence development as well as supervision. Work Tasks As a nursing assistant, you will be highly involved in the DBT-based treatment work that takes place around the clock, based on the patient's needs. Work on the unit is characterized by teamwork in close collaboration with other professional disciplines. You will coach patients to use newly acquired skills based on their own goals and in accordance with their care plan. We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant. Experience working in psychiatry is a requirement and previous experience with the unit's target group and DBT is highly desirable. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. We believe that you as a person are confident and stable and that you have good cooperation skills. You are structured and like to work in a team, which is absolutely necessary to achieve treatment results for our patients. You have a genuine interest and commitment to the target group and can remain calm in emotionally demanding situations. We further believe that you have an interest in change and development work, preferably contribute with new creative ideas and want to be part of building specialized and intensive care for patients with difficult-to-treat self-harm behavior. What We Offer You We offer you a permanent employment, full-time (37 hours). The work is scheduled and includes service during days, evenings and 2 out of 5 weekends. A probationary period of 6 months may be applied. You need to be able to demonstrate proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants or an employer certificate that proves you had a permanent employment as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023 in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) in the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). You will work in an established multidisciplinary team with a clear working method where everyone contributes to the whole.
