Home Care Assistants wanted for Hemtjänsten Fåker! Östersunds kommun is now seeking two qualified home care assistants for the home care service in Fåker. Our unit is located in the same building as the special housing facility Hemgården. Here you work together in a small work group with engaged and experienced colleagues who are passionate about providing good and safe care. You get the chance to enjoy beautiful stretches and views during your shifts. The unit has close collaboration with Hemgården and home care groups in Brunflo. When you work with us, you have close access to the unit manager and assistant unit manager. We place great emphasis on a good work environment so that everyone feels well and can provide citizens with safe and good care. We can do this through good collegial support and collaboration. We are now recruiting two home care assistants. The positions are at 80% with the possibility of extended service degree within the administration. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Trial employment may be applied. Start date is as soon as possible. Your new job As a home care assistant, you work with personal care and services in citizens' homes. You work to promote physical, mental, and social health for the citizens you help. Your task is to support citizens and facilitate their daily life. Meeting people is in focus, and you contribute to creating good relationships with relatives/next of kin and other professional groups. In your work, you collaborate with other home care assistants, care workers, district nurses, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, coordinators, and unit managers. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care services, such as specific care and rehabilitation. Your work also includes being a permanent care contact for certain citizens. Another important part of your work is regularly documenting in our operational systems. Common work tasks Assist citizens with personal hygiene and basic care Contribute to citizens receiving home care having a meaningful and pleasant daily life Assist with transfers Administration of medication according to medical delegation and prescription Various types of sampling Preparation of light meals Care of various indwelling appliances (for example urinary catheters or stoma) Simple wound dressing Care documentation Dishes and light cleaning tasks Permanent care contact Escort and companionship Your competence Requirements Qualified home care assistant B driver's license Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Meritorious Experience working in home care Good computer skills and experience using a mobile phone as a work tool Access to your own car to easily get to and from work We are looking for you As a person, you adapt easily to changed conditions, you can shift between working independently and collaborating with others. You possess good empathetic abilities and easily put yourself in another person's situation. You have good judgment and are initiative-taking where you make well-founded assessments and take responsibility and act when the situation requires it. As a home care assistant, you are professional and understand the importance of following routines, guidelines, and decisions made, where your views are raised at the right times. Other Register extract If you become relevant for employment, you need to present an extract from the criminal record register. The extract is ordered via the Police website, polisen.se. The register extract that should be ordered is "Work with elderly or adults with disabilities". Please note that you do not need to send the register extract with your application.
