Hemsjögården elderly care home is beautifully located next to Lake Sävelången approximately 1 mile outside Alingsås. The home is small and family-like and consists of two units with a total of 34 apartments, one of which is adapted for mobility challenges and one is a dementia unit. WORK TASKS At Hemsjögården elderly care home, we work from a salutogenic approach, which means we base our work on the resources and abilities the user has. We adapt support, care, and nursing based on individual needs, which may vary over time. In your role as a nursing assistant, you will work independently but also have close collaboration with your colleagues to achieve the facility's goals. Your work also includes cooperation with relatives, the responsible nurse, rehabilitation services, and other collaboration partners. Your tasks will include serving as a fixed care contact, providing daily care and support services, service tasks, alarm reception, and maintaining social documentation. You will also perform health and nursing services on delegation from a nurse. In your role as a fixed care contact, you will have overall responsibility for a number of users. You will participate in welcome meetings and, in cooperation with a Specialist Nursing Assistant, establish and follow up on implementation plans. In your work, you will be a present and meaningful person, contributing to creating quality of life for our users. Together with your colleagues, you create a meaningful daily life, and you will contribute to our ongoing improvement efforts. Small changes in our daily work can create significant improvements for our users and in our work environment. A recurring element is participating in and organizing meaningful activities in daily routines and on special occasions such as holidays. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title. You are well familiar with digital platforms and following the facility's policies, guidelines, procedures, and decisions. Previous experience in elderly care or other healthcare experience is meriting. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. You have a salutogenic approach to work, are attentive and engaged in a way that creates good opportunities and conditions for both users and colleagues. You should have a good ability to see the whole picture and context while considering individual needs. It is essential that you have good collaboration skills, are confident in the Swedish language, and can communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing in a pedagogical manner. You adapt your language to your audience and are attentive, empathetic, and respectful in contact with users, relatives, colleagues, your manager, and other collaboration partners. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work climate through listening, communicating, and cooperating with others. To thrive in this role, you are flexible, confident, and act responsibly and independently with a clear user focus. You have good interpersonal skills and enjoy creating new and positive relationships.
