Work Duties We are seeking several care assistants for BmSS Kärravinkeln. We provide housing for young adults with multiple physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and complex needs. Our facility has five apartments in a single-story villa with a garden. What makes Kärravinkeln unique is our environment, designed to stimulate all senses and inspire activity and well-being. We offer amenities such as a spa, sensory rooms, and nature-inspired environments. At Kärravinkeln, we work with both development and support and care for residents based on each individual's abilities and circumstances. Residents at Kärravinkeln have very substantial support and care needs. The work involves varied tasks. Responsibilities include providing educational support in daily activities, assistance with activities and personal care, as well as common household work such as laundry and meal preparation. The work also involves supporting residents in activities such as bathing and walks. All social documentation is recorded in the Treserva documentation system. If you have not previously used the systems used within Gothenburg City, you will receive training. Housing with special services provides support 24 hours a day. We tailor work schedules based on residents' needs. Working hours are scheduled during day and evening shifts, as well as weekends. We use Time Care Planning for activity-adapted and flexible schedules. Qualifications We seek candidates who have completed care assistant training through the care and service program or the care and service program for adults. Communication is an important part of the work, which means you need good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent, you may be offered a language test via Educateit. You must have experience working with comprehensive care. As the work is physically demanding, being in good physical condition is a requirement. We consider prior experience with feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, and alternative and augmentative communication to be advantageous.
