BIVA in Lund is part of the operational area (VO) for pediatric surgery and neonatal care at Skånes universitetssjukhus (Sus). We provide highly specialized intensive care for children and young people ages 0 to 18 years and are one of four pediatric intensive care units in Sweden. We have the mandate for national highly specialized care (NHV) for pediatric cardiac surgery and pediatric surgery. Our patient groups include children and young people with congenital heart defects, congenital surgical malformations, acute infections, trauma, metabolic diseases, and pediatric medical conditions within neurology, oncology, and orthopedics. - The best part about BIVA is being able to make a difference in difficult situations and being able to address each child's specific needs within intensive care. Therefore, we are looking for two nursing assistants who want to be part of our unit. We look forward to welcoming new colleagues to our team! Regardless of previous experience, you will receive an introduction based on an individually tailored introduction program adapted to your needs as well as a supervisor to guide you throughout the period. During your first year, you will be assigned a mentor who follows your development at the workplace. We value professional development and therefore offer all our employees regular training and shadowing days based on a competency framework. As a nursing assistant in BIVA, you work close to the patient and in close collaboration with the patient's responsible specialist nurse. Together you plan the day and help with prioritization. Your duties include both advanced care and work with medical technology. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a reflection group where newly hired staff meet and are guided by experienced colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS You who are applying are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title regardless of whether you studied according to previous or current program structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. Work experience in intensive care or pediatric care is a merit. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of working in intensive care and likes care work with extensive medical technology equipment balanced with nursing care.
