The Health and Care Administration of Östersund Municipality is now seeking nursing assistants and care aides for home care services in Torvalla. The home care unit is located on Nävervägen in central Torvalla with good bus connections from Östersund city center. You will become part of an engaged and experienced work team that is organized into two teams: Torvalla Upper and Torvalla Lower. You will belong to one of the teams, but will help the other team when needed. Together we work to provide safe care with continuity and quality to our residents. We value collegial support and cooperation. We have regular meetings to follow up on residents' needs, and you will also have the opportunity for guidance and support in your daily work from our coordinators. We are now seeking four new colleagues for our unit. Three of the positions are permanent appointments and one position is a fixed-term appointment until 2027-07-31. The employment degree is 100% or by agreement, and working hours are day shifts, evening shifts, and weekend shifts. Start date is in the near future or by agreement. Your New Job As a nursing assistant or care aide in home care, you work with personal care and services in residents' homes and travel around your area by car or bicycle. You work to promote physical, mental, and social health in the residents you assist. Your task is to support the resident and facilitate everyday life in daily activities. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care services such as specific care and rehabilitation. You collaborate with nursing assistants, care aides, district nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, coordinators, and unit managers. Another important part of your work is to document in our activity systems. We would appreciate it if you have an interest in development and quality-strengthening measures, for example by taking on an ombudsperson role in your work. Common Work Tasks Assist residents with personal hygiene and basic care Support with transfers Medication administration according to medical delegation and prescription Management of various indwelling appliances (for example urinary catheters or stomas) Basic wound dressing changes Care documentation Escort assignments to various activities and tasks Relief at home Preparation of light meals Dishwashing and light cleaning tasks Your Competence Requirements At least 1 year of experience working in home care Category B driver's license Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Experience using telephone and computer as work tools Ability to cycle Merits Trained nursing assistant Experience with delegated care services Experience as a dedicated care contact Experience with an ombudsperson role in your position Familiarity with journal and activity systems, such as Viva We Are Looking for You We are looking for someone who is service-oriented in your approach, calm and attentive with a focus on helping others.
