Responsibilities As a nursing assistant with us, you have a central role in creating safety, quality of life, and meaningful days for our residents. The work is varied and always based on each individual's needs, wishes, and resources. Your main responsibilities include: provide personal care and support in daily life, such as hygiene, meals, activities, and social interaction, work based on implementation plans and contribute to developing individualized support, notice changes in the resident's health status and act accordingly, document according to applicable legislation and ensure good quality of care and continuity for the resident, contribute to creating a safe, warm, and respectful environment where each individual is seen and heard. We actively work with a person-centered approach, where each resident's life history, needs, and wishes are valued. This means that we don't just provide care—we build relationships and create meaning in everyday life together with the residents. The user's influence is a natural part of this. This means that as a nursing assistant, you have an important mission to enable participation and help each individual live their life as independently and meaningfully as possible. Since the operation focuses on dementia care, your approach is particularly important. You need to be able to meet different needs, behaviors, and situations in a calm, respectful, and professional manner. In our work, we use the scheduling tool TimeCare for planning. About the Workplace The Social Services Department's main mission is to offer individualized support and services within elderly care, functional disabilities, children and families, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for community residents throughout all stages of life. Within elderly care, there are four special housing facilities, home care including safety patrols, day activities, short-term and respite housing, meeting points, and municipal primary care. Lotsen special housing is a dedicated dementia facility located in central Nynäshamn. The facility consists of 24 apartments. You work together with experienced colleagues in a close team around our residents. On each floor, six nursing assistants work, with two on duty during day and evening shifts. In daily work, you collaborate closely with colleagues and other professionals, including nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, where cooperation and open dialogue are a natural part of everyday life. At Lotsen, we prepare our own food together with the residents. Together, we work to create a safe, person-centered, and meaningful everyday life for the people living with us. The operation actively works with development and is at the forefront regarding welfare technology. What We Are Looking For in You To succeed in this role, you have: nursing assistant education with protected professional title experience working in special housing, dementia care, and/or psychiatry solid knowledge of dementia care, treatment, and person-centered care good IT skills and experience using digital tools very good knowledge of Swedish, equivalent to level B2 in speech and writing. It is advantageous if you have: experience working in elderly care experience with digital working methods and welfare technology interest in digitalization and development within care and services.
