We are now recruiting nursing assistants to Nynäsgården.
Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include providing care, assistance, and support to elderly residents based on their individual needs and creating a meaningful daily life for them. We work according to a salutogenic approach, which means we focus on what is healthy in each individual and what resources and conditions they have.
Your mission will be to provide elderly residents with the care and treatment characterized by consideration, respect, and making a difference every day. This helps us add that special touch to their daily lives. We offer challenging and stimulating work with great variety and the opportunity to make an impact.
Beyond daily care, we also work with activities for our residents, which means you will be an important part in arranging and planning these activities.
Initially, work schedules are planned as day/evening/weekend shifts, but the possibility of rotating night shifts can also be offered if there is interest.
Your qualifications
We want you to have a degree from a healthcare and care program or equivalent education.
It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in elderly care.
What is most important to us is that you have a genuine interest in providing support and service to other people. We value that you are positive, engaged, responsible, and flexible in your approach to work. In your work, you will collaborate with residents, their families, colleagues, and other professionals. Therefore, you need to work well with others. We also want you to be responsive and have good communication skills.
It is important that you have strong empathy and can listen to and understand the residents' various needs and that you have the willingness to meet these in the best possible way. The position requires that you are responsible, proactive, and have a flexible work approach. We place great value on commitment to your work and a desire to contribute to the success of the operation.
You have good IT skills and are comfortable working with our systems for documentation and record-keeping.

To be eligible for employment with Västervik Municipality, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record register. You can order the extract here: HVB-hem, e-tjänst | Polismyndigheten. Please note that processing time can be up to 2 weeks. You will need to present your extract if you are offered a position.
As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that proof is required to have the right to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and care. Read more about how to apply for certification here.
