Your Work Tasks Do you have experience working with people with cognitive illness and are someone driven by providing care, support, and assistance based on individual needs? Then the position at Ekhults Care Home might be for you! Our goal is for residents at Ekhults Care Home to receive the help and support they need to manage their daily lives, and together we create a meaningful everyday life. Together with our colleagues, we create good days. The work includes nursing care tasks such as assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, various service tasks, and medical duties. We work based on national values and a salutogenic approach where we focus on health and bring out the person's own abilities. Since the residents have cognitive illness, you need to be able to meet each individual where they are in the moment. Your work also includes being a contact person for a number of residents, which means you plan support and assistance together. You participate in welcome meetings and prepare and revise implementation plans and document in the Treserva system. You also have contact with relatives and other collaborative partners. There is also an opportunity to take on an ombudsman role, which means you have special responsibility for an area that we jointly determine based on your knowledge and interests. Working hours are scheduled for day shifts, evening shifts, and every other weekend. For this position, the employment level is at least 75%, but due to the right to full-time employment applied in Linköping Municipality, you have the opportunity to choose a higher employment level up to full-time. Your Workplace Ekhults Care Home is located in beautiful Ljung, approximately 25 kilometers outside Linköping and a few kilometers outside Ljungsbro. To work at Ekhults Care Home, you need to have a driver's license and access to your own car. Alternatively, you live nearby and can cycle, as there are no bus connections to the facility. The facility is beautifully situated with views over a lake and surrounded by beautiful nature. There is also an associated orangery, so outdoor activities are an important part of the work at Ekhult. The care home is for residents with cognitive illness and has 20 apartments distributed over two floors. There are also common areas such as living rooms and kitchens where residents and staff can meet, socialize, and engage in social activities together. The operation is part of a cluster with other facilities to help each other when needed. Work may occur in one of the following operations: Vretalidens Care Home in Ljungsbro and the short-term care facilities Kärna Care Village and Kärna Care Home in Malmslätt. During the fall, the operation will undergo Silvia Home certification, which means all employees will receive training in dementia care and be given tools to provide good, person-centered nursing care. Silvia Homes' care philosophy is a person-centered work and approach supported by four cornerstones – symptom management, family support, teamwork, and communication. Future work will therefore be characterized even more by these guiding principles. About You We are looking for someone with upper secondary education, and we consider it a merit if you are a trained nursing assistant. For the position, you need to have experience working in care and services and knowledge of a salutogenic approach. It is a merit if you have previous experience in dementia care and low-affect interactions. We also consider it a merit if you have experience working with BPSD. Work in elderly care involves extensive customer contact and documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is a merit if you have experience documenting in journal systems. As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and move your work forward. You also work well with other people and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have empathetic ability, which means you can understand others' perspectives and situations.
