Welcome to us Alströmerhemmet's care and residential facility specializes in somatic care and dementia. We are a dedicated team of nurses, nursing assistants, care assistants, physiotherapists/physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitian, activity coordinators and administrative staff. As a nursing assistant/care assistant you will work scheduled shifts during day, evening and weekends (working hours between 7:00-21:00 depending on shift). We are also recruiting night staff (working hours 20:50-07:05). What we offer Two days of introduction with both theoretical and practical components, so you feel safe and confident in your job. Part of the introduction includes training in medication handling for delegation, various techniques for moving care recipients, documenting your work efforts and learning about basic hygiene routines. We will also cover areas such as cognition and nutrition, so you gain an understanding of elderly people's needs and well-being. The workplace is centrally located at Fridhemsplan on Kungsholmen, with proximity to subway and bus. Your role As a nursing assistant/care assistant you have an important task to make people's daily lives simpler, better and more enjoyable. You provide good care and social support to the elderly in their daily lives. This includes helping with medications, cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry and personal care such as showering and toilet visits. You also promote functional abilities in the elderly and contribute to a social and active life. In addition to practical and social tasks, you maintain contact with family members, participate in care planning and record events in our documentation system Parasol. Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who meets one of the following requirements: Secondary or vocational education within care and social services (completed or ongoing) Ongoing studies in nursing or medical programs Other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. You also have: Knowledge in care and social services work Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing Computer, mobile and system skills as documentation and reporting are part of the work At least 18 years old. The Department for Elderly Care is responsible for care management and various services that enable elderly people to have their care needs met. There are care and residential facilities, service housing, family support, day activities and home care services. The Administration applies full-time as standard and you will be employed within Kungsholmen Elderly Care.
