Region Gotland operates residential care facilities for the elderly in-house at six locations. Those of us who work here have the mission to support elderly residents around the clock with various services, where each individual's needs are the focus. The operations are based on a palliative care philosophy and Region Gotland's core values: trust, compassion, and participation.
Terra Nova residential care facility has 60 places, of which 30 are intended for people with dementia and 30 are special residential care places. The facility is located in eastern Visby – with proximity to both nature and the city center.

Your Tasks
We work according to Individual Needs at the Center (IBIC), which means that residents are provided with a safe and meaningful daily life with individually tailored support, activities, and warm care.
With us, you get varied and meaningful work where you make a real difference in people's everyday lives. Your tasks include personal care, delegated health and medical care services (HSL), and the role of contact person with responsibility for creating good relationships with both residents and their families. You also contribute to a pleasant and safe environment through household-related tasks and service duties, and you plan and implement activities based on residents' needs, wishes, and interests. Palliative care and vigils may occur, and the position also includes some administrative work.
Working hours are according to standard schedule, with day and evening shifts and working every other weekend.
Salary:
For the position of nursing assistant in residential care, the starting salary range is 29,000–34,000 kronor per month. For the position of residential care assistant in residential care, the starting salary range is 24,000–30,000 kronor per month.
We apply individual salary setting. Final salary is determined based on education, relevant experience, competence, and responsibility in the role, as well as in consideration of applicable collective agreements.
Who Are You?
To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to applicable regulations. It is meritorious if you have worked in nursing care and/or elderly care previously.
If you are applying as a residential care assistant, it is desirable to have some form of education focused on care and welfare, such as care assistant training, or if you have worked in nursing care and/or elderly care previously. Interest in further training is encouraged.
We would like to see that you have experience in nursing care and that you feel confident in your professional role. To thrive with us, you need to be open to trying new approaches and actively contribute to development work – both independently and as part of a team. As a person, you find it easy to adapt your manner of care to different individuals and situations. You see everyday challenges as stimulating and remain calm even in stressful situations.
Since all communication and documentation takes place in Swedish, it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Before a job offer is made, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record register must be presented.
