The Adult Psychiatry Clinic Drottninggatan is located in central Malmö and has the mission to investigate, diagnose, assess and treat patients with general psychiatric diagnoses. The clinic offers a broad range of treatments and provides assessments, pharmacological treatment, psychological treatment with various approaches, supportive conversations, and group treatment with various approaches. The clinic has approximately 45 employees divided into three base teams which, in addition to nurses, include psychologists, doctors, caregivers, occupational therapist, social worker, rehabilitation coordinator, medical secretaries, physiotherapist, administrator and receptionist who together have broad and varied expertise. WORK DUTIES As a nursing assistant with us, you will have an important role in a psychiatric outpatient clinic where the patient is always at the center. You become part of a multidisciplinary team and work in close collaboration with psychiatrists, ST doctors, psychologists, nurses and social workers, with access to occupational therapist and rehabilitation coordinator. With us you are offered varied work with a meaningful role in meeting our patients. Work duties include support, crisis and suicide prevention conversations, specimen collection, monitoring of pulse and blood pressure, as well as follow-up conversations and follow-up visits. You also work with other tasks based on the clinic's needs, with emphasis on psychiatric work and supportive interventions. In your role you contribute with safety, continuity and good treatment for our patients. As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you have a central function in the clinic's daily work and are an important part of providing safe and quality care for our patients. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for protected professional title regardless of whether you studied according to previous or current program structure. Since the work largely involves communication and documentation, good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Applicants who currently hold permanent employment with the professional title caregiver may apply and will be allowed to retain the professional title in case of employment (however, no longer than 2033 when the caregiver title ceases within our operations). It is advantageous if you have experience working in psychiatry or working with patients with mental health issues. Furthermore, good computer skills and basic knowledge of our medical record system Melior are beneficial. You have a genuine interest in psychiatry and always put the patient in focus. You are comfortable working independently, take responsibility for your work tasks and have good ability to structure and prioritize your work. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others and actively contribute to a good work environment and a well-functioning team. Since the operation is dynamic, you need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs and work tasks. For this role, it is important to remain calm and have a good and low-key demeanor in stressful situations, which is why we are looking for someone who is secure and stable as a person.
