The day care center at Sörgården is for people with memory problems. Our goal is to support the ability to remain living at home for as long as possible, while also offering support and relief to family members. The day care center at Sörgården is an assistance-assessed measure under the Social Services Act. Sörgården is part of the Department of Support, Care and Services, which works every day to provide elderly people and people with disabilities the support, care, and rehabilitation they need. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant in the day care center, you plan, implement, and follow up on activities that promote health, participation, and well-being. You work closely with guests, family members, and colleagues to create a meaningful and enriching day. The work includes, among other things: • Planning and implementation of individual and group-based activities. • Support in everyday situations and social interaction. • Documentation according to applicable guidelines. • Collaboration with family members and other professionals. Working hours are scheduled during daytime on weekdays without holidays. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a qualified nursing assistant with experience working with people who have cognitive illness. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Specialist training in dementia care is meriting but personal suitability is the most important piece of the puzzle. Creating safety and trust is something that comes naturally to you, and you have a genuine interest in working with people with cognitive illness. You see each individual, plan, and implement activities that promote participation and independence for those we serve. You are flexible, responsible, and enjoy collaborating, while also being initiative-taking and contributing to developing and advancing the operation. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: September 1, 2026, or by agreement. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland and are offered employment, you must be able to provide proof that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
