Right now we are seeking a nursing assistant for an assessment unit. YOUR ROLE With us you will meet individuals with changing care needs. At SKC you quickly get to know new people – and just as quickly you become an important part of their daily life. Right now we are seeking a nursing assistant for an assessment unit. Assessment: At our assessment units, we receive individuals following a care decision. The task here is to work together as a team to assess the individual's needs based on a rehabilitative approach. We work constantly together to strengthen the individual's opportunities for independence and participation. The goal is for the individual to be able to return home with the right support and conditions. The work involves you performing care and welfare services and carrying out health and medical care services on behalf of licensed personnel. You also have a responsibility to plan, document, and follow up in our digital systems. Through your professional manner, you contribute to security and participation for both the individual and their loved ones. We also offer a palliative unit where we meet people at the end of life as well as individuals with tracheostomy or other complex needs. The work focuses on safety, dignity, and presence for both the individual and their loved ones. Here you work with qualified care by documenting, planning, and providing care based on care decisions as well as carrying out health and medical care services on delegation from licensed personnel. YOUR COMPETENCE We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and want to develop in your profession. If you have experience in health and medical care, rehabilitation, work with cognitive diseases, palliative care, or assessment we consider that an asset – but the most important thing is that you want to make a difference in people's daily lives. Since documentation and administrative tasks are an important part of the work, you need to feel comfortable writing in Swedish and be accustomed to working in digital systems. If you have previously had a role where documentation or administration was a clear part of your assignment, that is an advantage. You enjoy varied work where you meet people at different stages of life. Collaboration and team spirit are a given for you, and you remain calm even when things get stressful. You are empathetic, attentive, and treat both care recipients and their loved ones with respect and warmth. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Skellefteå Municipality is part of Finnish and Sámi administrative areas. Language skills in Finnish and Sámi as well as cultural competence in these areas are therefore considered assets. YOUR NEW WORKPLACE Skellefteå Short-term Centers consists of four units – three focused on assessment and one focused on palliative care and in some cases tracheostomy care. Skellefteå Short-term Centers is an important part of the business area Prevention and Authority Operations within care and welfare.
