Are you ready for new challenges? Warmly welcome to Samariterhemmets Healthcare Center We are now seeking an engaged and experienced nursing assistant for our primary care operations. This position is a full-time temporary role (100%) starting by agreement through October 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. About the Position As a nursing assistant with us, you will be an important part of our health center team. The work is varied and includes, among other things: • Blood draws and laboratory work • Point-of-care testing • Blood pressure measurements • EKG • Suture removal • Wound dressing changes • Assisting with examinations and treatments • Regular primary care tasks The work also includes blood draws from both adults and children, both venous and capillary. We Are Looking for You If You • Are a trained nursing assistant • Have proof of protected professional title for nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) • Have experience working in a health center or within primary care • Have good knowledge and laboratory experience with blood draws — this is a requirement and is prioritized highly • Are experienced with point-of-care testing • Are positive, driven, and flexible • Enjoy varied work tasks and patient contact • Have strong customer service skills and good teamwork abilities • Can work both independently and as part of a team It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the medical record systems Lifecare and Cosmic. About Our Organization Samariterhemmets Healthcare Center is located in central Uppsala, a stone's throw from Resecentrum. Our health center is a large operation with 13,850 registered patients. Together we are over 70 employees, and all professional areas within the health center's mandate are represented. The broad variety of patients creates a developmental workplace. Since 2019, we have been an academic health center. An academic health center has fundamentally the same mandate as other health centers and offers its patients the same care as before. What differs is that we have employees who are also researchers and work on development projects and education, including quality assurance and development of clinical practice-based education. In addition to regular staff, we also have clinical pharmacists, university lecturers, and clinical adjuncts. We invest in secure employment and good benefits through our collective agreement.
