At the radiology department in Bollnäs, a dedicated team of nursing assistants, radiologic technologists, radiologists, and sonographers work together. Every day, we collaborate to provide our patients with safe, professional, high-quality diagnostic care. The work is varied and occurs in close collaboration with primary care, inpatient care, and the emergency department, as well as with private healthcare providers. Radiology Bollnäs also maintains close cooperation with other radiology clinics in the county, particularly with radiology in Söderhamn. The department is equipped with modern equipment including CT scanner, MRI, ultrasound, and conventional skeletal X-ray. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for radiology in Bollnäs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant, you will work with many different tasks within diagnostic radiology in an environment where no two days are alike. The work is both practical and administrative and occurs in close collaboration with radiologic technologists and physicians. You will meet both scheduled and acute patients, assisting with various examinations and treatments and preparing patients for examinations. We also have more independent work tasks, for example in the ultrasound lab where you plan and schedule acute and elective examinations. Work occurs during daytime, evenings, and weekends with on-call shifts. During on-call duty, you work from home and must be able to arrive at the workplace within 30 minutes. When working evenings and weekends, you work in a team with the radiologic technologist and receive acute examinations. Heavy lifting may occur in the work. When needed, we also collaborate with radiology in Söderhamn. You are flexible and can adapt when work changes quickly, while having the ability to work in a structured manner even at a faster pace. The work involves both practical and administrative tasks, which requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize among different tasks. In the role of nursing assistant, you should • be educated as a nursing assistant • hold a category B driver's license. For this position, it is advantageous if you have experience working in radiology, but also in emergency care, clinic work, or other patient-facing services. Information about the nursing assistant title As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. You can apply for the certificate with Socialstyrelsen. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work within healthcare and social services, but under a different title than nursing assistant. In Region Gävleborg, this means that the title in your employment contract will be healthcare assistant until your certificate is submitted. Employment Type: Permanent position.
