Our Operations The Psychiatric Services Department provides specialized care for people with serious mental illnesses. Psychiatric Ward 3B is a 24-hour care ward within the affective disorders section. We have 12 care beds for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment primarily of affective disorders. This includes severe depression, suicide prevention, bipolar disorder, severe anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and crisis reactions. With us, you combine psychiatric care with somatic care and sometimes basic care. Your Assignment You are part of a cheerful and skilled team where, as a nursing assistant in psychiatric 24-hour care, you have significant responsibility for patient-centered care. You participate in rounds, care planning, and doctor consultations. You conduct initial patient interviews, support conversations, and serve as the daily contact person, as well as plan and participate in various activities on the ward. As a trained nursing assistant, you take blood samples, perform NEWS checks, etc. We work in care teams, so you plan your work together with nurses and nursing assistant colleagues. Workdays with us can look very different. Sometimes the pace is calmer and you can spend considerable time talking with or engaging patients, while other days may include acute situations of various kinds or coercive measures, when you need to make quick decisions and handle stressful situations. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with experience from psychiatric inpatient care. Medical, nursing, and psychology students in ongoing education are also welcome to apply. Ongoing nursing studies are seen as an asset. Your Competence You have a genuine interest in psychiatric care. In the hiring decision, we place great emphasis on your personal suitability.
