About the Operation Regional Orthopedics is a regional clinic operating at three locations: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. The operation conducts both planned and acute care focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This also includes the Orthopedic Technical Department and the Care Hotel at Sundsvall Hospital. The operation is characterized by shared values where responsibility toward patients, the operation, and one another are central. The Orthopedic Department provides both preoperative and postoperative care for patients with orthopedic injuries and diseases. An important part of the care process is individually tailored pain management and early mobilization, which are key factors in promoting recovery, reducing complications, and creating the best conditions for patient rehabilitation. Training will take place within the team with more experienced staff. Internal education will be offered. We are now recruiting 2 nursing assistants on a temporary contract for orthopedics in Sundsvall. The positions are full-time, distributed across days, evenings, and weekends. Start date: August 31, 2026. Job Responsibilities - Pre- and postoperative care - Work preventively regarding risk of pressure ulcers, falls, and malnutrition - Standard nursing assistant tasks on an acute care ward - Work closely with nurses in monitoring and care of orthopedic patients Qualifications We are looking for someone who: - Is a trained nursing assistant - Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing It is an asset if you: - Have experience working on a care ward - Have experience in acute healthcare - Have 1-2 years of professional work experience in this field We believe you will succeed in this role if you have these personal qualities: - Personal maturity - Self-motivation - Ability to collaborate - Holistic perspective About Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several activities that are vital to residents' ability to participate in society.
