Our Operations The Orthopedics and Hand Surgery division has an exciting opportunity for you if you are interested in working with orthopedics. On 70A, we primarily have an acute intake of patients who are cared for pre- and postoperatively for various fracture types – injuries resulting from trauma. For example, some patients may have cut themselves on the job, broken a bone on a ski trip, or been involved in a high-energy traffic accident. Other patients may have suffered a hip fracture after a fall on the same level or contracted an infection requiring amputation. In this way, our patient clientele varies in terms of age and underlying medical conditions. We also have doctors with specialist expertise in complicated pelvic fractures and complex hand surgery procedures, which means we receive patients from large parts of the country. To 70B comes a significant portion of our planned care. Here we help patients with osteoarthritis who need prosthetic provision in the hip, knee, or shoulder joints. The acute intake consists largely of patients with traumatic fractures of the spine and neck, large disc hernias requiring emergency surgery, or patients with infections that require surgical intervention in addition to antibiotic treatment. We have doctors highly specialized in prosthetic and spinal surgery, which means we also conduct national and regional healthcare services. Length of stay varies and can range from one day to several weeks. We work in teams with professionals such as: nurses, nursing assistants, pharmacists, pharmaceutical technicians, social workers, junior doctors, specialist doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. Your Assignment As a nursing assistant on 70 A & B, you will share responsibility with the nurse on the care team for approximately 6 patients. The work includes tasks such as basic patient care, NEWS and blood glucose monitoring, fluid balance monitoring and calorie registration, repositioning, and mobilization. With us, you can expect varied work with challenging assignments. Your Qualifications You are a trained nursing assistant. Previous experience working on a hospital care ward or in nursing/care housing is a merit. Your Competence You put the patient at the center and are responsible and motivated in your work.
