Description Angered Local Hospital is the small hospital with a large mission. The operating room department at Angered Local Hospital is an organizational unit employing approximately 35 employees responsible for the entire surgical process. Here, operating room coordinators, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and the unit manager work together with the patient as our focus. The operating room at Angered Local Hospital has four surgical suites and a pre- and post-operative unit well adapted for the mission. We treat patients in the areas of surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and urology both independently and in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Angered Operating Room also has a major responsibility for the insertion and removal of venous ports. We perform surgery on both children and adults. We are seeking a nursing assistant who wants to work with day surgery, where you will meet both children and adults. As a nursing assistant in the operating room, you are an important part of the surgical team and work closely with operating room nurses, anesthesia nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists. You need to be highly flexible as you will assist both the surgical and anesthesia teams during operations. You will work both in the surgical suite and help our day surgery patients before and after surgery in the pre- and post-operative unit. No two days are alike, which gives you great opportunities to continuously expand your competencies. The work pace varies, and you work in a high-technology environment where the patient is the focus. We offer you thorough training together with our experienced nursing assistants. It is important to us that you feel secure. Qualifications You are a trained nursing assistant with substantial experience working in an operating room department. Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Experience with day surgery workflows, pediatric anesthesia, and post-operative patient care is desirable. Your approach is characterized by concern for people and you have a good ability to work in a team with other professions. We work without hierarchy in our processes and workflows, which means you need to be open to change and development.
