The department is responsible for adult patients with stroke and neurological diseases. In addition to care and nursing work, the department is part of the hospital's 24-hour brain rescue alarm. We work based on team-based care. As a newly hired nursing assistant in the department, you will be included in a project called 80-20. The purpose of the project is to create a better balance between clinical work and competence development. The project means that 80 percent of your work schedule is allocated to clinical work and 20 percent to competence development activities such as training, responsibility areas, and project work. This is aimed at improving the work environment and creating greater participation in and structure around the development of both your own role and the operations. During summer and the Christmas and New Year holidays, you work 100 percent clinically. 2 position(s). WORK TASKS We are now looking for two nursing assistants to further develop care for patients with stroke and neurological diseases. These positions are temporary employments for the period September 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027, with the possibility of extension. You will gain broad competence within your specialty and have the opportunity to participate in the development of care and the department. We offer you an introduction tailored to your experience and needs so you can enter the operations and your role in the best way possible, and we arrange ongoing training activities internally at the department. As part of your development - when you feel ready - there is also an opportunity to take on the role of thrombolysis nursing assistant. In preparation for this transition, you will receive specific training. Working hours are scheduled during day, evening, and night shifts on all weekdays, and we use a booking schedule and major holiday rotation. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied according to the previous or current program structure. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is required. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in neurology with nursing care of patients with neurological deficits, NIHSS, telemetry connection, assisting with lumbar puncture, and handling of feeding tubes and tracheostomy. We are looking for someone with good organizational skills and foresight, while also being able to adapt and prioritize your work when an acute situation arises.
