We are now recruiting a nursing assistant to our interprofessional team in the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Inpatient Care section. Our employment offer We rehabilitate patients who have suffered moderate to very severe brain injuries in an early stage after illness or injury. The cause is often stroke or some form of trauma, and the length of care is usually somewhat longer, which helps us get to know our patients and their families well. The average age of our patients is 48 years. We only have planned admissions of new patients and overcrowding does not occur. All patients have an individual rehabilitation plan developed with a person-centered approach together with the patient, family members, and the interprofessional team. The team consists of a nurse, nursing assistant, physician, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social worker, speech-language pathologist, and psychologist. All about your benefits Job description Customary nursing assistant tasks such as NEWS checks, inserting/managing catheters, glucose monitoring, and blood sampling, etc. Rehabilitative care where you as a nursing assistant participate in the patient's rehabilitation training according to the patient's individual rehabilitation plan. We work with rehabilitative care, meaning as part of the patient's recovery and healing, it is important that they manage their activities of daily living as independently as possible with constant and strong support from the care staff. Strategies and instructions developed by the patient's team are available as support. Qualifications Educated nursing assistant through upper secondary school's Health and Care Program (three years, 2,500 credits), Health and Care Program at Komvux (three terms, minimum 1,350 credits), or equivalent nursing assistant training. You need certification from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or be covered by transitional provisions for nursing assistants, to be employed with the title nursing assistant. Otherwise, you may be employed in the occupational category healthcare assistant. You should have very good knowledge of the Swedish language both spoken and written (minimum passing grade in Swedish C). It is advantageous to have experience in stroke care, neurology and/or neurosurgery, or work with patients with acquired brain damage and tracheostomy. Personal qualities We are looking for someone who is flexible and taking initiative, with good ability to work independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You enjoy taking responsibility and can quickly switch from a calmer to a high-paced environment. Ideally, you are a structured person as much of the rehabilitative care is carried out with the help of various instructions developed by the team. It is important to us that you have a well-developed empathetic ability and see that problems can be solved.
