On the cardiac ward and cardiac intensive care unit at Hudiksvalls Hospital, nursing assistants, nurses, and cardiologists work together to ensure our patients receive the right care at the right time, our staff enjoys working here, and our methods are modern and effective. For us, compassion for both patients and each other is central because we know that together we create safe and professional care. We care for patients with various types of medical illnesses as well as cardiac diseases such as angina, heart attack, heart failure, and arrhythmias. We are now recruiting two nursing assistants who want to become part of our wonderful team. Come and make a difference with us! 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will be a key person in the patient's experience of care and an important part of the team that monitors, treats, and supports. HIA operates 24/7, which means you will work unconventional hours such as day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. You will be part of our work group where we maintain an open and friendly work environment with some team members having worked here for many years with extensive experience while others are relatively new. You will have the opportunity to develop and build on your knowledge. As a nursing assistant, you will work in a team with a nurse and be responsible for 6 to 11 patients depending on your shift. As a nursing assistant, you will work with • patient care, monitoring vital parameters, specimen collection and EKG, handling of central venous catheters and setup of arrhythmia monitoring • patients in both acute and stable conditions. You are thoughtful and confident in your interactions with patients, family members, and colleagues. You don't need to know everything from the start—what matters most is that you are curious, willing to learn, and comfortable asking questions when you don't know something. We are looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and isn't afraid to take action. Since we spend quite a few hours together at work, we appreciate it if you bring both work enthusiasm and a good laugh now and then. In your role as a nursing assistant with us, you should • be a trained nursing assistant. For this position, it is a merit if you have prior experience in cardiac care. This means you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and social services. You can apply for the certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you don't have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services, but under a different title than nursing assistant. In Region Gävleborg, this means the title in your employment agreement will be care assistant until your certificate is submitted. Employment form: Permanent employment.
