An elderly care facility is a safe living arrangement for seniors with significant daily care and support needs and individuals with dementia. We operate eight elderly care facilities located both centrally and in our surrounding communities. The operation is part of the Care and Welfare sector in Skövde Municipality. JOB DUTIES We are looking for someone who wants engaging and developmental work. In your role as a nursing assistant with us, you have the opportunity to help create the best living environment for our residents. Our work is based on our guiding principles of safety, responsibility, and respectful treatment, and you are a large and important part of the resident's well-being. You work carefully and professionally with the resident, in collaboration with others in the work team. This also includes working for good cooperation with other professionals and family members. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that our residents, based on their individual needs, receive social support and care, assistance, health and medical services, and activities. The work also includes service tasks, such as preparing simple meals, washing dishes, laundry, and cleaning. The assignment also includes performing delegated and prescribed healthcare services, in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). Documentation in our systems is also an important part of the work. Within the Care and Welfare sector, we work flexibly between different units. It is a merit if you have had other similar work, preferably with specialization in dementia care, elderly care, or welfare technology, as well as previous experience with delegated tasks. As a person, you need to be responsible and service-oriented, putting the individual's needs at the center. You are good at collaborating with colleagues, residents, family members, and other partners both within and outside your own organization. We believe we build a better operation through collaboration and development together with others. You have an easy time building relationships and you demonstrate respectful treatment. In this role, it is important that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish, as you and the resident need to understand each other, but also to be able to complete documentation. You have computer skills and preferably experience with social documentation. The desire to care for, support, and develop other people is one of the qualities needed most in our society. And you who have that in you are the real future. Upon employment, a certificate from the police's criminal record register must be presented. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title nursing assistant in care and welfare.
