Working as a nursing assistant in home care means you meet our care recipients in their own homes. The work is practical, varied, and sometimes physically demanding. You move between care recipients, often by bike or car, and help with both care and services in the home. The work requires you to be able to climb stairs, bend down, lift, and sometimes work in tight spaces. There may also be heavier tasks, such as cleaning, carrying groceries from shopping, or helping care recipients move between bed and wheelchair. You follow basic hygiene routines, wear work clothes, and maintain a respectful and professional manner toward care recipients, colleagues, relatives, and other people we meet in our work. Here's what you'll be working with: Assist with personal care, such as showering, hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits Prepare or reheat simple meals and serve food In this role, you'll administer medication, which means you need to receive delegation from licensed staff Help with cleaning, laundry, bed-making, and waste sorting Do shopping and accompany on errands Provide social support, conversation, and walks Document in digital systems and report according to SBAR to ensure good quality and safe care Collaborate with colleagues and unit managers as well as nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists as needed Be a contact person or primary care contact and plan with the individual how services should be provided Hässleholms Municipality wants to make use of your full competence and offers you a full-time position, with the possibility to request your desired hours. You are a trained nursing assistant. You have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both in reading, speaking, and writing. We appreciate it if you have experience with care work, but it's not required. To be able to get around the area, you need to be able to cycle and have a valid driver's license for a manual transmission car.
