Department of Anesthesia, Surgery and Intensive Care We in anesthesia, surgery and intensive care support patients and families facing a critical moment. For some, we are their last hope. For others, we create an opportunity for a better life. Whether you work in the sterilization technical department, in one of our air ambulance operations, in the intensive care unit or in surgery, you play a crucial role in critical moments. We welcome your application to become part of our team. Our Operations At the Central Intensive Care Unit (CIVA), approximately 850–900 patients with severe failure of vital functions are cared for each year. Average length of stay is short, and most admissions occur acutely around the clock, which means that work pace can shift rapidly. The most common diagnoses for our patients are severe infections, trauma, cardiac arrest and advanced postoperative care. Through collaboration between all the hospital's intensive care units, CIVA also cares for patients with extensive burns, acute nervous system and thorax diseases, critically ill patients with highly contagious diseases and children when needed. Your Role We are now seeking a nursing assistant to join our CIVA team. At CIVA, you will be part of a team around the patient consisting of a specialist nurse trained in intensive care, an intensive care physician and a physiotherapist. Together you will work in a person-centered manner and share responsibility for two patients. Your duties include everything from advanced patient care to assisting with various examinations and procedures. We work in a high-technology care environment, and the role includes operating technical equipment. As a nursing assistant, you are closest to the patient and form an important part of the team. Your Qualifications We are seeking a licensed nursing assistant. Your Competencies You have a curious approach and good ability to collaborate. The work also requires you to be flexible and service-oriented. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. What We Offer At CIVA, extensive experience and expertise are gathered. No two days are alike here, which is usually both stimulating and developmental. Our motto is "you are never alone"—there is always a colleague to ask or turn to for help. We offer individually designed and structured orientation, followed by ongoing professional development in the form of scheduled training days. We offer temporary work or permanent employment with rotation across day, evening and night shifts in a schedule model that provides more time for recovery during inconvenient hours. Our facilities are equipped with ergonomic lighting and sound, which has been shown to have a positive effect for both patients and staff. A probationary period of a maximum of 6 months may apply. Start date by agreement. Wellness is part of working for good health and a positive work environment. As an employee, you receive an annual wellness allowance of up to 3000 kr.
