Our Operations In recent years, the pediatric emergency department has worked hard to develop our operations to best serve all our patient categories. We have a vision to further evolve our approach and therefore want to expand our strong team! At the pediatric emergency department, we receive and treat children and adolescents with acute medical, orthopedic, and surgical illnesses and injuries aged 0-18 years. Our operations are open 24/7, and patient volume and work intensity vary from day to day. The pediatric emergency department is part of the section for acute pediatric care, which also includes the pediatric emergency care ward 95E and the department for specialized pediatrics. Our multiprofessional team always puts the sick child and family at the center. We value a good collaborative climate and have a high ceiling in teamwork. Patient safety and professional care are natural parts of our daily work, and we place great focus on daily, shared training opportunities for the section's staff. We are careful about collective reflection at the end of each shift and follow-up after difficult patient cases. Thanks to our diverse competencies and experiences, we develop and make each other even better in our work with our patients. Your Role As a nursing assistant in our pediatric emergency department, you work both independently with your own responsibility and as part of a team with other nursing assistants, nurses, and physicians. Work tasks are varied and include, along with care of children and families, sampling and inhalation treatments among other duties. We place great focus on patient flow and patient contact. The work offers great variety in terms of difficulty level, content, and pace. Our patients arrive both walking and by ambulance, and we often receive patients requiring immediate, acute care in our emergency room. The workday in the pediatric emergency department consists of many interactions with our patients and their families. Because patients' conditions can change rapidly, the work is both varied and challenging, and well-functioning teamwork is always the focus for the patient's benefit. Your Qualifications We are seeking someone trained as a nursing assistant or pediatric specialist nursing assistant. Experience working in pediatric care and/or experience in emergency departments is highly valued. Your Competencies You have a strong interest in pediatric care and find emergency care exciting. You are calm and stable, both as a person and in your role as a nursing assistant. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and move the work forward. You are flexible and adapt easily to new circumstances. You enjoy being challenged and are open to learning new things and taking on different work tasks. What We Offer We offer a permanent position at 100% with possible rotation to the department for acute and specialized pediatrics, ward 95E. A trial employment period of 6 months may apply. Position assignment may occur on an ongoing basis.
