Department 26 is a care unit with 18 beds for children and young people up to 18 years old with medical and/or surgical conditions. The operations are broad in scope and include care of children with severe and chronic conditions, as well as children with temporary illness. Your work as a nursing assistant includes general patient care for families as well as, for example, monitoring checks, specimen collection, and support and assistance during meals. Qualifications We are looking for you as a nursing assistant, preferably with experience working with children and young people. We would like you to have a care education focused on Health and Medical Care. The courses Acute Care 200 p (formerly Medical Care 200 p) and Medicine 2 100 p (formerly Medical Basic Course 100 p and Patient Care 150 p) are desirable. Alternatively, equivalent older education or a care program with a degree after 2022. We also consider relevant work experience in our assessment of your qualifications. About the Operations Within the business area pediatrics, we conduct broad pediatric operations and have strong expertise in many subspecialty areas. We have a neonatal unit, a pediatric care unit for children and young people with both medical and surgical conditions, a mobile pediatric team, a children's and youth clinic, day care, and three open pediatric clinics. At the children's and youth clinic, a dietitian, social worker, psychologist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, teacher, and play therapist work closely together with each other and with other care staff. The operations have over 200 employees. Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three emergency hospitals where we conduct advanced medical care, research, and education.
