About the Department Would you like to develop in your role as a nursing assistant at a small hospital with great expertise? Welcome to Department 67 at the Internal Medicine Clinic, Mora Hospital. Department 67 is an internal medicine acute care unit with two specialty areas: cardiology and neurology with a focus on stroke and geriatrics. Both areas have dedicated specialist physicians. The department is divided into two units based on our specializations and currently has 18 patient beds, distributed across three care teams, with plans to expand to 20 beds in the near future. We work in multidisciplinary teams where nursing assistants, registered nurses, and physicians collaborate closely with the patient at the center. We also have other paramedical professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers who work with us and exchange knowledge. Responsibilities As a nursing assistant, you will work directly with patients in daily care work. Your tasks will be varied and include: Basic and person-centered care Observation of patient condition and reporting to the registered nurse Participation in rehabilitation and activation activities Specimen collection, documentation, and other delegated tasks related to your areas of responsibility Initially, you will primarily work with our neurology patients, especially those with stroke and acute geriatric conditions. However, it is important to us that you receive orientation in both of the department's specialty areas since we function as one unit and need to be able to support each other in the teams.
