You should have completed the acute care course (200 points) or according to the new curriculum, healthcare 1 and 2. Experience working in a urology/surgery care unit is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. As a person, you are stable and composed in stressful situations, you are flexible and adapt to changing circumstances. You are an engaged and driven person with good teamwork abilities and the ability to create a positive work environment. It is also important that you are service-oriented and have the patient in focus. Your Work Working as a nursing assistant on a care unit is both developmental and challenging as the patient group is broad and varied. On department 51, we care for surgical, urological, and ear/nose/throat patients. We receive acute patients around the clock but also have scheduled surgery. Tasks include general patient care, as well as qualified duties such as drain management, wound care, specimen collection, patient education, risk assessments, and documentation in the patient record system. Department 51 is a surgical and urological care unit that is part of the general surgery/urology operational area and the Division of Regional Health Services 2. We have continuous professional development and training for our employees. We place great emphasis on work environment efforts and as part of this have decided to introduce scheduled professional development with a program for each scheduling period.
